A sampling of the reviews, so far, for “Beginner’s Guide to Affinity Designer iPad | Export Persona,” my latest class on @skillshare. I’ll admit, I was a bit scared to release a class that was so technically focused but, based on the feedback so far, I am so glad I did!
NEW YOUTUBE TUTORIAL! Did you notice some brushes didn’t make the cut in V2 of Affinity Designer? No worries! If you still have V1 on your iPad (or desktop) you can easily export a collection of your favorite brushes and import them in to V2. In this super quick YouTube tutorial, I’ll show you how! Find the link in my bio.
NEW CLASS ALERT! 🎉 I just posted the first in a three part series, "Beginner's Guide to Affinity Designer for iPad V2 | Export Persona" where I take you on a tour of this very technical persona in Designer. Understanding how the Export Persona can work, and making it work for you, allows you to take what you create in Designer, and even what you create outside of it, and multiply it's use ten fold.
Behind the scenes of the making of a @skillshare class. I have fine tuned this setup over the last two years to where everything that I use is an integral part of the process, right down to the iPad itself. You trust me with your time and creativity, and I never take that lightly so, in turn, I owe you my best. I don’t put classes out every week but I take my time to craft each one I do create to make them as positive an experience as I possibly can and worth the wait. Thank you to all of my students, in every class. Thank you to those of you who have shared your projects, left such amazing reviews (I won’t lie, I get choked up at them), and shared with me, and others, what you have learned here on Instagram. I have a lot in store for 2023, including the class I’m wrapping now, and can’t wait to share! Happy Creating, and Happy Learning!
NEW CLASS ALERT! My latest @skillshare class, “Introduction to Affinity Designer for iPad V2” is out there! Join me on a tour of the new interface, explore what’s new with existing tools and learn all about the new ones. We’ll wrap up class by using the new tools, and existing ones, to create a fun, Scandi-inspired floral illustration. Along the way, I’ll share my favorite tips and tricks on how I use everything in various scenarios. All you need is your iPad and Affinity Designer! See you in class! (Find the link in my bio)
There are a few more days left to enter my year end giveaway of a full year of Skillshare! Take any class (or classes) and share a new project and get an entry for each class/project. Once you have shared a project, get additional entries for leaving a review on the class(es) [one entry per review] and get a single bonus entry for sharing here on Instagram and tagging me!
Some Scandi inspired Modern Folk art flora for the final project for my “Introduction to Affinity Designer for iPad V2” class, coming to my @skillshare channel early next week!
As promised, I have one more free year of Skillshare to give away in 2022 and you have multiple chances for entries!
Assembling another flock. Heading off to a new home in New York! Thank you Heather for giving these little bits a new place to nest.
I mean, I made the cover photo and everything… I may as well release the class, right? All kidding aside, I can confirm I have been working on this longer than since lunch today. :) Coming soon to my Skillshare channel, an in depth look at what has changed with Affinity Designer for iPad version 2. We will look at all the changes to the layout and the existing tools and studios. Plus we’ll create a fun illustration using all the new tools (with a little help from the old ones :)) Find the link to it (and the first month at no cost for new users) in my bio.
A botanical diamond pattern from start to finish. The sketch and original motif was created in Procreate, but I decided to recreate it in Affinity Designer and play around with creating diamond patterns. I always come back to Designer. ❤️
The only thing better than one memory from Italy, is three in a triptych. I have had the privilege and pleasure of traveling to Italy several times but this trip was by far my favorite. Walking through the Trastevere neighborhood in Rome, then winding through the back canals of Venice, my camera was up more than down. Now these three are heading off to a new home here in Chicago. Thank you Meg! I hope these bring you as much pleasure as I had taking them!
