Two years ago, this month, I started teaching on @skillshare when art festivals were canceled due to COVID. As it turned out, that pivot was one of the best decisions I made; I decided to retire from festivals and focus on teaching. Today, one of my biggest goals was met; I got invited to be a part of the Top Teacher program and very happily accepted. Meeting this goal is thanks in GREAT part to you, my students; those of you who have taken my classes, shared your projects and/or left reviews. Your encouragement, and kind words, helped inspire me to push harder and improve with each class. I want to thank each and every one of you who have followed along on this amazing journey with me. THANK YOU, to all of you, from the bottom of my heart! More to come everyone...I am not one to hit a goal and call it a day so be on the lookout for lots more from my Skillshare channel (find the link in my bio) Back to crafting those classes!
NEW BLOG TUTORIAL! Did you know you can blend text in Adobe Illustrator for iPad? It's not quite as straightforward as doing it in the desktop version but it can be done! In my latest blog tutorial, I'll show you, step by step, how to do it. Head to the link in my bio (under Explore Latest Post), or to the link in my Stories, and learn how.
While dogwoods are my favorite flowering tree to photograph, cherry blossoms come in a very close second. We had a cherry tree in our back yard growing up, and as it was outside my bedroom window I got to enjoy the beautiful, white blossoms whenever Spring rolled around. What is your favorite flowering tree, whether it's to photograph, draw or just enjoy?
