Printed, signed, dated, packed and shipped to a new home the same day it was purchased. All of my medium and small prints are done, by me, in house, for two reasons: 1. most importantly, it allows me to control the quality of the printing and 2. It means I can ship almost immediately, especially during the holidays :) I use a Canon Pixma Pro 300 and high quality, archival Pro Luster paper from Red River Paper. (If you are an artist who prints your own work, and haven’t checked them out, their paper is amazing) Thank you Dan, for giving one of my favorites a new home!

Don’t tell anyone but, I have it on good authority that a certain little girl will be receiving this little guy, mounted on a wood block, for Christmas. I wonder if she likes reading as much as he does? “Night Reader,” illustrated by me in Procreate using a combination of my own brushes and textures. Mounted, by me, on to a finished wood panel, here in my studio. 🐸
From design to final pin, sending a flock of two dozen bird pins off to their new home. I created the designs in Affinity Designer for iPad (@affinitybyserif) so I get the benefit of both rasters for the engraved bits and vectors for the cuts. I move them to the @glowforge dashboard where I fill it with as many as I can fit on the baltic birch board. Punch in the perfect settings (which I have figured out through many, many cuts), hit the big glowing button and let the laser do it’s work. When they’re done, I attach the pin fittings, pop them on their backings, and they’re off to their new home! Want to know how I made the birds in Designer?
