NEW YouTube Tutorial 🎉 In this quick tutorial, you can learn how to make your own, custom Canva frames using Affinity Designer. Canva frames are super handy shapes that allow you to pop pictures and videos in to them over and over and they not only take on the shape of the frame, they also resize to fit the frame. They make creating things like social media templates and other things super simple. In this video, I will show you how you can make custom shapes in Affinity Designer and set them up so Canva recognizes them as a frame. Find the link in my bio.

When Joe & I did art festivals, the producers always put our tents next to one another, even before we were dating. From day 1, our relationship was built, in part, on a love of art. Shows are no longer a part of our lives but now we get to share art another way. Joe just published his first @skillshare class as part of their Winter Teach Challenge! (So now the cats get to interrupt two of us when we are recording!) Joe (@smiggyink) has a BA in Fine Art Education and taught school for several years before becoming a full time artist. Today in the studio… this lovely gets hand mounted on a 16x16 inch panel and sent off to a new home. (and serves as a reminder that my favorite flowering trees to photograph will be blooming here in the not so distant future. 🌸)

Scripts, scripts and more scripts. I am spending today finalizing the scripts for three new YouTube tutorials, and three new classes. I try to do as much as I can, up front, to get ready for filming. Not only does it make it go more smoothly, it means I can get multiple tuts and classes filmed at a time. Which of course means more to put out in to the world. Stay tuned!

A sampling of the reviews, so far, for “Beginner’s Guide to Affinity Designer iPad | Export Persona,” my latest class on @skillshare. I’ll admit, I was a bit scared to release a class that was so technically focused but, based on the feedback so far, I am so glad I did!
